Hope in GodWhat a great reminder of Who our confidence should be in (God and not us)! (See blog post below.) Our confidence is in our God who does have the power to deliver us from any situation and circumstance in life. May we never forget that no matter how long the trial takes. In His timing and His way He will deliver us. When we are finding that hard to believe in the midst of the battle, just turn to the Psalms and you will find comfort there.

And, remember to “Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, ‘Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you’ ” (Heb. 13:5).

The Daily Way

Though we are confident that God has the power to deliver us from any situation or circumstance in life, we often lose hope as we try to figure out solutions to our problems. The fact remains that despite our most determined efforts to make life work harmoniously for us, we need God.

When there is no hope in our lives, we become despondent. We wonder how we are ever going to make it. Despite all our knowledge of what God can do, we opt to wallow in pity and despair. When this becomes our response, we are like many characters in the Bible.

David, who experienced the pit of despair on more than one occasion, commanded his soul to praise God, even though he did not feel hopeful or encouraged. He writes, “Why are you downcast, O my soul? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for…

I love this article because I have been in that vunerable place of need so much throughout my life.I’ve gotten some breaks but it’s never been real easy.Even though our flesh hates it, when we follow God into difficult life circumstances and continue to truly depend on Him, does He have the opportunity to not only refine us and perfect us but He will move mightily ‘through’ our lives for His Glory. In this I rejoice! There are alot of Christians that are Sunday Christians. They give Him homage one day a week, but truly have not surrendered their lives to Him. God can do so much more through willing vessels. My interpretation of Heb. 13:5 (one of my very favorite verses!) is…”NEVER…will I leave you; NEVER! will I forsake you”! He’s a passionate, loving Father! He means what He says! LOL…Praise the Lord. You are Loved!
